Tasting Notes

The new edition of Nyetimber Classic Cuvée is beautifully open on the nose, with notes of fresh bread, ripe citrus, lemon curd and a touch of red apple. The palate is driven by a creamy mousse, adding weight and depth to the notes of brioche, cream and lemon curd. The acidity is bright but not sharp, cutting through the mousse and intensifying the notes of citrus and apple. The finish is pure and youthful, with the notes of baked bread lingering in harmony with the fruit.

Farr Vintners, Farr Tasting, September 2018

Based on 2014 but with 30% varied reserve wines. This wine, served at the launch of my glassware, looked absolutely superb. It tasted as though it had been long aged with no rough edges, no insistent acidity, no perceptible dosage, just a beautifully integrated, interesting drink for current enjoyment. Long, precise, refreshing with some hedgerow but no green notes. 2018 - 2022

Based on 2014 but with 30% reserve wines.
Very frisky mousse! Sophisticated and, I have to admit, champagne-like nose. Lifted and long and very sophisticated. There are just SO many champagnes that are less impressive than this. Wonderfully tight-knit and intellectually stimulating. Wonderfully vibrant. I see a tiny insect has not been able to resist diving in to my glass. I can understand this. So persistent... 2018 - 2023
