Here too there is just enough wood to notice on the pretty nose that combines notes of plum, violet, spice and red currant. There is excellent intensity to the relatively generous medium weight flavors where the underlying minerality adds a sense of lift to the dusty, complex and well-balanced finale. This is textbook Gruenchers which is to say a Chambolle of volume and richness if not necessarily the exceptional refinement of the finest vineyards.
