Tasting Notes

The 1990 d'Issan is a light-bodied, fragrant wine with medium ruby color, spicy, sweet berry scents, medium body, moderate tannin, and decent concentration. It is tasty and supple in a light, delicate style. It should have 10-15 years of positive evolution in the bottle. Last tasted 3/95.

Impériale. Less intensity on the nose than the 2000 Jeroboam from the same vertical. Lots of acid and quite stodgy, stolid (but the other Impériale of 1990 was apparently better).
