Tasting Notes

This beautiful Margaux offers expressive notes of spring flowers, licorice, incense, and sweet blackberries and currants. Supple-textured with a savory, medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, silky tannin, and beautiful purity, it is a lovely effort that should drink well young yet keep for 12-15 years.

A balanced and pretty red, with berry and currant aromas and flavors. Medium- to full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a fresh finish. Pretty and not overdone.

James Suckling, Wine Spectator (April 05), April 2005

A garagiste operation in Margaux, Marojallia continues to be one of the finest wines of the appellation. Its deep ruby/purple color is accompanied by an impressive bouquet of black currants, raspberries, and violets. With medium body, notions of liquid minerals and graphite, sweet tannin, and impressive purity offered in an elegant, stylish, graceful format, it will be drinkable between 2008-2018.
