Perhaps one of the lesser-known producers in Piedmont, Boglietti was originally associated with heavy, oaky wines. Galloni comments that the “quality has exploded in the last few years”.
The 2021 Barolo Boiolo is laced with dark cherry, crushed leaves, pine, mint, leather and spice. Light balsamic overtones play off a core of dark-toned fruit in this pliant, open-knit Barolo. This gains breadth with time in the glass. 2027-2038.
