This is also overtly floral in character on the mildly phenolic nose (think olive oil nuances) with plenty of classic Chablis elements. There is both fine volume and density to the energetic middle weight flavors that flash evident minerality on the bone-dry, refreshing and youthfully austere finish. This appears to be quite promising. Drink: 2025+
The oldest plot of Les Lys is used for this wine, 60 year old vines north-facing below the pines, the rest going into the Vaillons. The 2020 is really quite a classy, balanced wine, with a purity of bouquet that is admirable. A flourishing succulent white fruit with floral touches behind, very silky, with an excellent finish. Tasted Jun 2021.
