Here too there is a discernible dollop of wood setting off the liqueur-like aromas of various dark berries, warm earth and sauvage nuances where a hint of green tea lurks in the background. The opulent, rich and concentrated flavors brim with sappy dry extract that is buffered by the bright acidity and markedly firm tannins supporting the solidly long and youthfully austere finish. Again, this is stylistically particular but there is no doubting the quality of the underlying material. Note: from Etelois, Champ Chenys, Corvées, Croix de Champ and La Justice
Supple and fleshy, this red exudes macerated cherry, licorice, vanilla, menthol and toasty oak flavors. Harmonious, with granular tannins lining the succulent finish. Best from 2025 through 2033.
