Monvigliero is rightly regarded as Verduno's Grand Cru and Mirko and Federica's iteration is true to the aromatic tradition of this vineyard. It is intensely perfumed and gives itself over to the classic Barolo red fruit, particularly strawberries, but there is a much more prominent black cherry character to this wine when compared to the rest of the range. Hints of tea, toast and blueberry jam. There is stunning complexity here and a gravitas that belies the price point but that pays homage to this great vineyard. Drink from 2026 for at least 20 years.
