The 2020 Saint-Romain Village expresses real tension on the nose with wet limestone/petrichor scents percolating through the citrus scents. The palate is fresh and lively, the 30% new oak neatly entwined with an cohesive and tensile finish that lingers in the mouth. You could ask little more from a Saint-Romain Blanc. (Drink between 2023-2035)
Seductive, intense liquorice notes on the nose. Rich and broad start but nicely appetising with lime-juice notes. Nothing remotely scrawny about this. GV? Drink 2021 – 2027
