While compositionally similar to the Vercots, the sauvage aspect is much more prominent. The mouthfeel of the larger-bodied, muscular and overtly powerful flavors is also notably different as this is compact, austere and frankly somewhat grumpy. With that said, this appears to have excellent development potential though with that said, it's a 'buy and forget you own it' wine for at least 7 to 8 years, which is pretty much textbook Fournières. Drink: 2034+
