I'm told that this is now the 'welcome pour' for business-class passengers travelling on British Airways. Digbys call it their 'Tuesday wine', ie, just for fun. It's a celebration of apples – golden, fresh, pure-fruited and abundant. The dosage is relatively high in terms of raw numbers, but it is actually pitch perfect in terms of the wine. The fruit that it highlights makes this wine playful, delicious and wickedly gluggable. Like a glass of apple pie. Serve with a breakfast bacon bap.
