Cool, pure and ultra-fresh aromas of plum, cassis and wild raspberry are again set off by subtle not invisible wood. There is excellent richness to the round and relatively powerful medium weight flavors blessed with an abundance of dry extract that buffers the otherwise very firm, long and serious finish that flashes plenty of minerality along with a hint of warmth. This is backward, youthfully austere and compact at present and in contrast to several of the other wines in the range, this will not likely be a good candidate for early drinking. With that said, this powerful effort is excellent and all that it needs is extended patience.
