Vosne Romanee Orveaux, Chateau de Marsannay 2018

Tasting Notes

A markedly spicy nose of notably ripe but fresh red and dark currants is liberally laced with exotic tea nuances, all of which are trimmed in moderate toast. There is good size and weight to the energetic and attractively mineral-driven flavors that coat the palate with dry extract on the bitter pit fruit-inflected finish that is less obviously warm. This needs to develop more depth but the structure is here to allow for extended aging. Note: from a .28 ha parcel
