The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Romanée unwinds in the glass with notes of green apple, white flowers, beeswax and bread dough, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny palate that's fine-boned and mineral, but also a touch reticent and compact after a recent (small) sulfite addition. I expect it will reveal more plenitude in bottle than this commentary reflects.
