There is a vague suggestion of the exotic in the form of white peach on the cool and wonderfully stylish aromas of acacia blossom, lilac, rose petal, anise, Asian-style tea and mineral reduction. The middleweight flavors are borderline painfully intense while seemingly built on the base of stone as the mouthfeel is like rolling tiny rocks around the mouth, all wrapped in an explosively long, balanced and youthfully austere finale. The Clos de la Truffière is indeed stunningly good but the En la Richard goes is one better as blind, this could easily be mistaken for a scaled-down Chevalier that should age for years in magnum format. Brilliant and absolutely don't miss. (Drink starting 2038)
