The 2018 Olivier Blanc has a subtle but well-defined bouquet of yellow fruit and hints of strawberry and orange blossom that all gently unfurl with aeration. The palate is well balanced with lime and green apple on the entry, a touch of spice and a cohesive, focused finish. I feel that this has improved during its élevage and evolved into really quite a delicious, lively Olivier Blanc that should age well over the next decade or more.
With a fair bit of swirling, Olivier's 2018 Blanc leaps from the glass with energetic notes of fresh grapefruit, ripe pears and pineapple, plus hints of lime blossoms and dill seed with a waft of wet pebbles. The medium-bodied palate is elegantly styled with intense citrus and tropical fruit flavors, marked by a racy backbone, finishing refreshingly steely.
