Mid red to crimson colour. A lively, even quite exuberant strawberry fruit. Building steadily, with a sumptuous volume in the mouth, especially in relation to the vintage. A light and pleasing oak element at the back. Quite long, and certainly fine. Drink from 2027-2035.
A fresh and distinctly cool nose is comprised by airy and laudably pure notes of red pinot fruit, green tea, earth and soft spice hints. There is a beguiling sense of underlying tension to the detailed and precise middleweight flavors that possess fine balance and excellent length on the saline-suffused finish where a touch of sweetness slowly emerges. This could use better depth, but the potential aging curve should allow more to develop.
