**Note: a 3.5 ha monopole with 30+ year old vines**
Here too a background application of oak is visible on the intensely earthy and beautifully complex nose of both red and blue pinot fruit, earth, violet and plum scents. There is good size, weight and power to the relatively supple mid-palate though the firm core of tannins is apparent on the moderately austere and impressively long finish. This is very Nuits in character but not unduly rustic or rough.
