This displays a similar nose to the 1er Trie though with a bit of wood influence in evidence.
This is even more concentrated with thick but not heavy flavors that are intense to the point of being painful before culminating in an overtly muscular and very powerful finish that just goes on and on. This too is most impressive.
The 2012 Pouilly-Fuissé ""Extremis"" has a very well-defined bouquet with scents of white peach, apricot blossom and granite, muted at first, but unfolding superbly in the glass. The palate is well-balanced with a harmonious, Meursault-like opening, a fine line of acidity and plenty of spice-tinged honeyed fruit toward the convincing finish. There is a sense of completeness to this Pouilly-Fuissé - a cut above the rest in 2012. 2014 - 2020
Endowed with great richness, the focus shifts at times from concentration, to acidity and then to purity of fruit so well that the dense palate invites you to revisit this wine after a decade… not before.
