The 2022 Marmajuelo has a moderate 11.5% alcohol and very good freshness and acidity through an early harvest. It fermented and matured in a 2,500-liter oak foudre with lees for 10 months. This is a variety that takes time to ferment, and it's quite aromatic, with volume and acidity and a tasty finish with good grip. This is the first variety to be harvested because it has a short cycle. 3,330 bottles were filled in June 2023. Drink 2024-2028.
High intensity on the nose, hitting you with notes of tangerine, marmalade and baked apples. The palate here is tangy and full of personality, lightly oily and succulent but cut by the same fruits as the nose. Baked apples, lemon curd and candied orange all come through with a hint of dried herbs on the finish. Immediate drinking pleasure.
