The 2020 Volare del Camino feels harmonious and balanced, quite fruit-driven and juicy, with very fine-grained, chalky tannins. They picked the grapes quite early, and it fermented destemmed (like all of the reds here) in a closed vat (contrary to the 2019, which fermented in open bins), more reductive, with indigenous yeasts. It matured in used, neutral and well-seasoned 224-liter French oak barrels for 16 months. It has 13.9% alcohol and good freshness and acidity, with fine-grained tannins. It's a very good effort for the vintage but without the precision I found in the 2019. 1,092 bottles were filled in December 2021.
