An appealingly layered nose combines notes of red and dark pinot fruit with those of violet, spice and a touch of warm earth. The delicious and slightly finer medium weight flavors possess good verve before terminating in a moderately complex, persistent and lightly stony finale.
One third whole bunch, selected from the middle-aged vines not the old or the young. Mid purple, with an unassertive nose. Quite firm and crunchy behind, with just 12.8% alcohol.
