Tasting Notes

Domaine. Clear pale colour. Backward but still with a definite presence. The fruit is beautifully poised, thanks to a natural tension, fresh apples, and with a fine balance Between fruit, tension and kimmeridgian freshness. “On tape dans les Cailloux”, says Samuel. An impressive result in a difficult year. This is a 2021 which will need time. Drink from 2028-2035.

Cask sample. Powerful and inviting aroma that reveals the finest use of oak – gently mealy and spicy, and yet the fruit shines and still shows a mineral stoniness. Remarkably complex for a young wine. Deep, firm, very long, succulent. A beautifully complete wine. Intense and tense at the same time. Drinking window: 2026-2036
