Corton Renardes, Domaine Michel Gaunoux 2012

Tasting Notes

The 2012 Corton “Renardes” is also outstanding in this vintage, with depth, suave structural elements and great soil signature. The first class bouquet offers up an absolutely classic blend of cherries, quince, a great base of complex minerality, gamebird, coffee and a topnote of mustard seed. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, nascently complex and strikingly transparent, with superb mid-palate intensity, fine-grained tannins and outstanding grip on the very long, pure and youthful finish. A great bottle of Corton in the making. Drink between 2025-2065
