The impressive 2019 Riserva gli Angeli opens with aromas of underbrush, botanical herb, plum cake and blue flower. Youthfully austere and elegantly structured, the palate delivers succulent black cherry, black plum, orange zest, licorice and vanilla set against tightly woven, velvety tannins. Bright acidity keeps it well balanced while a chocolate note lingers on the close. This is still extremely young and needs a few more years to fully develop. Drink 2031– 2044.
