The Cerequio bottling has more grip and focus than La Serra and ultimately more concentration. There are layers of red fruits, some floral notes and a persistent spiciness that adds a complexity to this wine. The tannins are prominent yet integrated and the acidity gives lift and moreishness. Ultimately, despite the complexity and depth, this wine is quite light on its feet. It is a very serious wine yet thoroughly enjoyable now. Keep for a few years and enjoy over the next decade.
