Elodie is a textbook Swartland Chenin Blanc that uses components from three vineyards on two different soil types. Naturally fermented in older barrels, it's a textured, stony, intensely focused style with top notes of hay and fennel and a chiselled, pithy, stony palate. 2024-30
Pale straw in colour with a nose of red apple, tarte tatin, cinnamon and white pear. The palate is full of Chenin character but is clean and steely, the fruit vibrant and silky. Glossy in texture yet vibrant in acidity, this moreish and approachable wine is not just fruit forward, it offers hints of bees wax, savoury spice and a hint of all butter pastry. Blending new world precision and old world savour, it is delicious and great value for money.
