Morey Saint Denis Tres Girard, Cecile Tremblay 2018

Tasting Notes

Aromas of wild berries, cassis, grilled meats and rich soil tones introduce Tremblay's 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis Très Girard, a fleshy and enveloping wine that's medium to full-bodied, supple and gourmand, with powdery structuring tannins and a nicely defined finish.

The domaine’s 2018 Morey St. Denis “Trés Girard” is an excellent village wine. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a very expressive blend of black cherries, sweet dark berries, roasted venison, chalky soil tones, bitter chocolate, bonfire and toasty oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full and nicely ripe, with an excellent core of sappy fruit, lovely mineral undertow, fine-grained tannins and a long, complex and very refined finish. Lovely juice in the making.
