Beautiful nose showing concentrated ripe fruits. This is a full-bodied red with velvety tannins, lovely acidity and a long, fruity finish. Well done for the vintage. Drink from 2017.
Elegant raspberry, red and black currant, and earthy, loamy underbrush and soil tones make for a very attractive and fragrant bouquet. This ripe, medium to full-bodied wine should drink well for 10-15+ years.
The 2009 Belgrave has a ripe red cherry, kirsch scented bouquet with hints of raisin and fig. It is just flirting with over-ripeness...but not over-ripe! The palate is medium-bodied with candied red fruit, a little chewy in texture and perhaps needing more mineralité on the finish. Yet, there is fine density and decent precision on the finish. Maybe give this another couple of years in bottle.
Medium to deep garnet colored, the 2009 Belgrave gives up baked cherries, mulberries, stewed plums and forest floor scents with camphor and spice box nuances. Medium to full-bodied, soft and fleshy on the palate, it has a spicy/raisin cake finish. 2019 - 2025
