Bourgogne Rouge, Domaine Jean-Marc Bouley 2010

Tasting Notes

Here the nose is fresher still and the altitude shows. There is even better aromatic complexity with a similar nose but with hints of red berry fruit liqueur scents hovering in the background. The focused, energetic and again, utterly delicious flavors possess plenty of verve and punch on the agreeably dry, clean and lingering finish where a touch of austerity arises. This is an excellent Bourgogne.

Bottled in December 2011. Above and just over the road from Volnay. Red soils. Very fruity nose and palate. Forward and a tad simple but not at all mean. One of the more charming Hautes CĂ´tes. Just a bit dry on the end. GV (JR)
