A discreet application of wood frames aromas of essence of dark pinot fruit, plum and hints of earth and the sauvage. The mid-palate mouth feel of the medium-bodied flavors is also relatively sleek but with more evident power and punch on the moderately rustic, long and balanced finale. This isn't super-dense but the flavor authority is excellent.
