As it should be, this is finer, more elegant and more sophisticated though interestingly there is a touch of menthol here too on the otherwise pure red and black pinot fruit nose that introduces finely detailed and intensely mineral flavors that possess driving power on the superbly long finish. This is a near perfect alliance of power and refinement and certainly as Corton goes, this is an elegant example.
