Bottled in 2013 (well done, Syms, for including this sort of information on your back labels). Very posh packaging with wooden stopper cork and wooden lid on the high quality cylinder. Very pale tawny. Lustrous tiger colour. Looking at it, you wouldn't necessarily realise this had been a red wine in its youth. Delicate and beautifully balanced. to a hint of rancio but of great age and elegance. Masses of sweetness on the front palate. Tastes like fermented brandy butter. There is certainly something buttery about the texture. Great freshness and lift. So clean! No hint of decay. Considering its age and jewelly, hand-crafted quality, this is far from overpriced. Seems crazy that at 30 years old it is so much cheaper than most 2010 bordeaux crus classés. A really lovely wine. Thoroughly satisfying and not a all a knock-out drop.
