Gevrey Premier Cru, Louis Jadot 2021

Tasting Notes

**Note: from a combination of Combe aux Moines, Poissenots and Les Cazetiers**
This is aromatically similar to the Gevrey villages though with more of an herbal tea top note. There is however markedly better size, weight and richness along with more minerality on the concentrated medium-bodied flavors that conclude in a firm, serious and powerful finish. This possesses excellent development potential but like the Baudes, patience absolutely required.

Allen Meadows, Burghound.com (90), April 2013

A blend of Cazetiers, Combe Aux Moines and Poissenots, Jadot's one-off 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru wafts from the glass with aromas of sweet red berries, licorice, spices and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with good concentration, powdery tannins and a seamless, complete profile, it has turned out nicely.
