Gevrey Brunelle, Domaine Joseph Roty 2021

Tasting Notes

The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin La Brunelle is hard to resist, wafting from the glass with notes of cherries, plums, spices and vine smoke, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and charming palate that's fleshy and polished, with a succulent core of fruit and melting tannins.

A fullish purple. Plump and quite ripe red berry fruit on the nose. The fruit is at perfect ripeness and expresses itself very well on the palate, having smothered its tannins and with no barrel effect at the back. Harmonious and not far from being ready. Drink from 2026-2031.
