Tasting Notes

The 2016 Cuvée Exception is quite deep and sappy at the core this year, which is no doubt a reflection of the frost. The wine is really lovely on the black fruity nose, offering up a fine blend of black cherries, sweet dark berries, a touch of pepper, dark soil tones and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and rock solid at the core, with lovely focus and balance and a tangy, intensely flavored finish. A lovely example. 2018-2030+.
