Glowing purple, fairly saturated, with a brilliant, heady but energising nose. This is massive stuff, Nuits-St-Georges blackstrap, yet with good acidity behind. Keep for a very long time. I would have scored this higher but for the slightly dry finish. On reflection, re-reading my notes and given that the fruit still pushes on through, I have found the extra point for a fourth star. Drink from 2030-2040.
