Not surprisingly, this has changed very little from my original review with its strikingly spicy nose that speaks of sandalwood, anise, violet and a hint of hoisin on the plum and black cherry-scented nose. The gorgeously textured and quite finely delineated middle weight flavors brim with minerality on the dusty, serious and built-to-age finish. This presently austere beauty should benefit substantially from extended forbearance.
Planted in 1997 so the vines are reaching maturity. This vineyard was the first to be farmed organically, since 2011. There is an excellent bright dense purple with a lively classy nose. The bouquet keeps changing with some riper notes emerging. The profile stays entirely in red fruit but with a feeling of greater ripeness, sweet cherry. Tasted: November 2019
