Chablis Clos Béru, Château de Béru 2019

Tasting Notes

The 2019 Chablis Clos Béru, which undergoes an additional year in barrel (demi-muids), is a three-hectare monopole belonging to the domaine, the mother rock close to the surface. It has a very complex bouquet with apricot blossom, clementine, hints of peach and crushed stone. The palate is well balanced with fine tension on the entry, a superb bead of acidity, lightly spiced with touches of ginger towards the finish. Lots of energy here - you can feel the terroir expressed on the finish. Excellent.

Bottled March 2022. A pale lemon yellow. The perfume of Chablis is just starting to emerge. Spectacular density. Grows and grows on the nose. And the palate with perfect acidity, no need to worry about the long-term balance of this wine. Take your time over it. The nose gets cleaner all the time as well as more powerful. Drink from 2024-2028.
