Tasting Notes

The La Serra offering from Voerzio-Martini comes from 50+ year old vines, planted on a clay and sand dominated terroir. This wine has a beautiful texture and mouthfeel. It is rich but has a tannic bite that keeps the jammy red fruit in check. There are hints of tobacco and cocoa as well as an intensity and power that is very impressive. Complex yet poised, this will make old bones if required but will drink well after a couple of years' bottle age.
