The new white 2019 Castiñeiro Albariño is from 0.3 hectares of vines on a south-facing plot planted in 1957 in Lugar de Aldea do Monte in the parish of Lois in Ribadumia within the Val do Salnés. It's a plot next to the Espadeiro. It fermented and matured in raw 350-liter white clay amphorae where the porosity of the material aids the micro-oxygenation of the wine. The wine is kept without any sulfur. It's quite different and has a wilder profile, a little in the "natural" style, and in the beginning the process is a little more marked. 1,530 bottles produced. Drink 2022 - 2027.
