Tasting Notes

(Domaine Joseph Roty Marsannay "Les Ouzeloy" Villages Red) An expressive nose is composed of black cherry liqueur, wood toast, spice and subtle earth scents that are trimmed in background wood nuances. There is excellent volume to the caressing yet reasonably precise medium-bodied flavors that exhibit an appealing stony element on the rustic, firm and serious finish where a touch of wood resurfaces. Moderate patience will be required but this is once again quite good. (Drink starting 2020)
