**Note: from older vines that average 75+ year old vines located in Aux Carougeot, Gueulpines, Aux Covées, Combe de Dessus, Jouise, Epointures, En Sylvie, Les Marchais, En Derée, En Songe, En Vosne and both the villages and 1er portions of Clos Prieur**
A brooding and more deeply pitched nose features notes of quite ripe yet fresh dark berry fruit liqueur, spice, violet and a plentitude of sauvage elements. There is excellent volume and mid-palate density to the powerful large-scaled flavors that possess both excellent texture and superb length. This is a knockout and particularly so for a villages-level wine.
