Wow. The rose petal aroma is gorgeous with ripe strawberry and cherry undertones. Full body, dense and powerful. Chewy and rich tannins. Lasts for minutes on the palate. Best in 2022 but already stunning.
Cask sample and at the time of tasting they were undecided about whether the wine would be bottled under its vineyard name or disappear in the blend called Castiglione. Brilliant mid ruby with orange tinges. Fine oak and concentrated strawberry fruit and with the tannins standing out a little. Very attractive opulent strawberry fruit palate with pretty nervy acidity turning up on the finish.
