**Note: from 60+ year old vines**
Here the gorgeously complex fruit is ever-so-slightly riper running more toward black cherry which Humbert attributed to the much older vines. There is excellent richness to the supple and quite round flavors that retain a fine sense of precision on the intensely mineral-driven, explosive and impressively persistent finish. There is an abundance of dry extract present and this should make for a really lovely wine in 10 to 12 years. This may be the Estournelles of the vintage.
