Tasting Notes

The 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux St. Jacques is a knock-out. Rich, dark and sensual, the Lavaux St. Jacques is full of fabulous scents of black cherries, freshly cut flowers, menthol and licorice, all of which are supported by firm, insistent tannins. The 2010 is a massively structured wine that will require considerable patience, but it is a stunner. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2035.
