Tasting Notes

A bright golden colour, the nose here is honeyed and floral, with orange blossom turning to marmalade and a hint of dried apricot. The palate is initially sweet and viscous, but balanced by superb, fresh acidity adding a real vibrancy to the palate. The honeyed flavours are packed with orange fruits, barley sugar, nutmeg and vanilla. This is complex, with spicy mature notes in balance with primary honeyed fruits. A sumptuous Sauternes and great value for the sublime 2001 vintage!
