Tasting Notes

Here too there is enough wood to mention framing the fresh and bright if more deeply pitched nose of plum, earth and pretty floral wisps. There is a bit more volume and richness to the tautly muscular flavors that possess equally good verve before terminating in a succulent, sappy and lightly austere finale.

Allen Meadows, Burghound.com (90), April 2013

Glowing fresh purple, absolutely gorgeous nose, a proper ripeness of fruit, the quality of the pinot plant is excellent here. Fills the mouth, the structure is well defined but has ripened sufficiently, and a good long finish. A success this year. Drink from 2026-2033. Tasted: October 2022

91/93
Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy, December 2022

Bright ruby colour. The nose here is accented with woody herbs and all spice, bolstering the pure, cool strawberry fruit at the core. Sappy and fleet-footed on the palate, it is fresh but persistent with harmonious, compact fruit driving through. A precise wine with deceptive length that should soften nicely with 2-3 years in bottle and drink well for over a decade.
