Pinot Noir Rays Road, Kumeu River 2019

Tasting Notes

Limestone hillside at 180 m elevation, with a northerly aspect – Kumeu River's new vineyard. Dry-farmed. It was planted by the previous owners in 2008 with a variety of clones. Pale garnet with a transparent rim. Good freshness. An attractive green fern-like quality and real finesse and balance. Plus some length. More energy and delicacy than the Hunting Hill 2019 Pinot. Racy, fairly light-bodied Pinot. Drink 2020-2024.
