Here too there is evident but not dominant wood present on the pure, airy and cool aromas of cassis, black cherry and a pretty array of spice elements. There is fine density to the caressing and intense mineral-driven medium weight flavors that possess excellent complexity on the sappy and sneaky long finale. This is very Beaux Monts in character, which is to say that is an intensely stony wine of elegance and finesse. Sweet spot. Outstanding
Huge deep black purple. A sweet dense dark fruit, blacker notes, no wood taste because of the intensity of the fruit, all in balance. Distinguished with a pleasing freshness of dark raspberry, very long. Finesse and balance and a vineyard which can support the new wood every year according to Emmanuel Rouget. I did note some dry wood tannins but that may be actually a good thing, alongside the succulence of the fruit.
